To help launch the new Nike Sportswear collection, we created an in-store digital tool that educated and inspired women to style the new items.


Our idea was centred around a key insight: one of biggest struggles when shopping for new clothes is finding items that will work with your existing wardrobe – because buying a whole new outfit is rarely an option.
Working with esteemed stylist, Jana Bartolo, we created the next best thing to a personal shopper – professional styling tailored specifically to the user’s wardrobe.
Starting with the question that matters
Instead of focusing on outward appearance and how the user wanted to look, the first question we asked went a little deeper.
We then used her chosen ‘feeling’ to generate a simple apparel checklist – allowing us to quickly and easily capture her existing wardrobe essentials.


Using insights and styling tips gathered from running workshops with Jana, the tool automatically assessed the user’s chosen emotion and wardrobe essentials to generate three top matches from the Nike Sportswear collection.
It explained how the item fit with the user’s chosen emotion and gave advice on how to style it with their existing wardrobe.




She could then opt-in to having her styling summary emailed, which included an invitation to sign up for NikePlus membership.
Finally, we rewarded her for taking part with a set of limited edition Nike pins, redeemable upon purchase of an item from the collection.
